August 3, 2004 - Ginny Miles
I have had pain from arthritis for many years, my father is very crippled
with it and I could see I was going to be following in his footsteps in a
few years. I was visiting my cousin Joannie and her husband Dan this summer
and was introduced to Derk and Priscilla. They came to my cousins house
for dinner and after an evening of fun and laughter I felt the Lord pushing
me to ask Derk and Priscilla to pray for me. My knees had been hurting me
so much it was painful to walk and especially difficult going up and down
stairs. I also felt led to ask for prayer for my relationship with my
mother-in-law. After 35 years it was time for me to ask the Lord to help me
to love her unconditionally and change my heart. As Derk and everyone else
prayed, I felt such a peace come over me and I felt like I was being lifted
up. It was the same feeling as the day I ask Jesus to come into my heart 24
years ago. I felt as though I could float to the heavens. Praise God my
knees are healed. I feel a twinge of pain once in a while and I just claim
the precious blood of Jesus healing hand and the pain goes away. I am
climbing my stairs now and praise the Lord with every trip. The rest of the
pain has been much much better and I continue to praise the Lord. My
realtionship with my mother-in-law has improved greatly mostly because I am
looking at her through the eyes of Jesus, not mine. Praise the Lord for his
healing power in our lives, Praise God. Ginny Miles
