Endorsements

On a whim, I recently took a couple of van loads of “20
somethings” (young people) to attend a Healing Seminar
hosted by the Northwoods Vineyard in Tomahawk, WI and
presented by Derk & Priscilla Stevenson. I’d
heard positive rumors about Derk’s ministry, but
had never had the opportunity to meet him. Now, having
benefited from his ministry, I am compelled to write this
endorsement. Here’s what happened…….
Many of those in our group were new or young Christians
who lacked clear understanding about, or had never felt
bold enough to try their hand at, Holy Spirit led healing
ministry. What Derk was able to do was speak in a practical,
understandable, and accessible manner that allowed these
young people to connect. He laid a careful theological
foundation then spent considerable time talking about
the practical side of hearing from God and ministering
in prayer. This culminated with what amounted to a “live-fire”
practicum in which Derk invited “everyone to play”.
The result was a safe environment that allowed people
to just watch, participate, or both. The Spirit of God
showed up; my people were deeply touched.
If that had been the end of it, I would not be writing
now. In fact, the following day, at our Sunday service,
I had an altar call and found myself surrounded by young
people so anxious to pray for others, that there was barely
any room left for those who wanted to receive prayer.
It was a powerful time of ministry that impressed all
who were present. Now, I have a supercharged group of
young people whose eyes have been opened to a whole new
whelm of possibilities in ministry. They went to a seminar
and actually brought something back that has continued
to this day. I’m convinced that Derk’s anointing
is not just for him, but given by God specifically to
be passed on the rest of the Body. Invite Derk to your
church, I’m confident there will be an impact.
